Nelson Fabiano is a Portuguese artist born in 1973.
He lives and has his studio in Cannes.
A visual artist and photographer, his work can be compared to the Neo Pop Art movement.
Since the 2010s, he has been creating large-format paintings in which he depicts interiors, often living rooms with coffee tables and sofas, whose inhabitants have just left, as evidenced by the glasses and bottles of wine that have just been opened.
The overall composition is strictly architectural. The artist uses cool colors, gray, white, and red, which reinforce the particular atmosphere of the moment he wanted to depict. He paints in oils, using a lot of material in places. Since 2015, he has been adding collages to his compositions. His work as a photographer is also present in the realism of the canvas's theme. He has also traveled to the major cities of North America to take photographs.
Nelson Fabiano is a member of the Taylor Foundation in Paris and the Maison des Artistes Français.
He is represented in France in several galleries, notably the Graal gallery in Agen, and a collection of his paintings has been shown at the Eden Fine Art gallery in New York State.
He is registered with the I-Cac (artist rating index organization)
